Join us for the day to deepen your identity in Christ and your ethnic identity, and see how God may have a plan to use both for His glory. Come together with others from around the Mid-Atlantic region to hear some of the history and heritage of how he has used Asian American Ministries (AAM), Black Campus Ministries (BCM), and LaFe (Latino/a Student Ministries) for many years on our campuses. Come and explore how you can join in that story.
The day will be hosted as 3 separate conferences. AAM, BCM, and LaFe will all meet in their own spaces for morning and afternoon sessions to provide ethnic-specific conference spaces. After lunch, there will be a chance to gather as a Mixed-Ethnic gathering for those students with multiple ethnic identity groups.
The morning will be spent in worship and teaching. The afternoon sessions will be a chance to interact more with each other and seek the Lord for what He may be doing in us together and individually. Lunch will be catered and provided on-site (included in cost).
But what if I am mixed, biracial, or multiracial?
If you identify as mixed, multiracial, or bi-racial, we know how difficult it could be to feel forced to pick between multiple parts of who you are. Our society is an “all or nothing” society with lots of binary thinking and it can be hard to figure out where and how mixed people fit. Well, we would love to have you join us! You will have to sign up for one track, but we know that the choice you make does not make the other parts of you any less valid. There will be opportunities to connect with other mixed people and we will invite you at different times to go where feels most like home for you throughout the weekend.
